    Eigenfrequency/dynamic load

Hey guys. I have a construction of steel structure ( beams columns etc) and a light construction. I have to find the exact eigenfrequency of my construction. The self weight is = 0,8 kN/m2 and a service load of 5 kN/m2 ( according to eurocode) However that gives me high value of eigenfrequency...

Bottom timber plate connection to concrete

Hey guys. I Have a M12 bolt that i use pr 500mm in bottom timber plate which is subjected to shear 5 kN. How can i show that she timberplate will not be destructed? Can anyone show me a calculation of that? I use a timber C25 45x95. Because i know what the bolt can take but not the timber.

Plan showing layout of piles and pilecaps

Hey guys. Do you have any suggestions/corrections regarding my plan? I use beam: width x height =300x1000 Pilecap: 2100x2100  Piles=300x300 Column=500x500 http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=4a9d000b-c7af-4d35-b3d2-4c1d4d0b92c6&file=SKitse_fundamentsplan.pdf

When to consider a beam supporting slab

Hey guys. I want to make a simiiar detailiing, however I'm confused about what do do in order to have this consideration right: My slab shall be supported by the beam so my slab calculation would be right. What to do with the reinforcemenet in order to have such a consideration...

    Equivalent frame analysis

Hey guys. Can someone tell me if i have done the 'equavalent frame analysis' right? And can someone tell me why all the slabs is 7200? I mean in line 1 and 2 the slab should be 6000 and as well in line 3 and 4. Thanks in advance...

Help i dont understand the contribuary area

Can someone explain to me why the hell did he multiply by 4,8m? I mean if it was me and i wanted to find out the the distributed load on the continuous slab then i would have multiplied 12,25 kN/m^2 with 1m = 12,25 kN/m I'm i wrong or is the book wrong? Thanks in advance...

    Pile cap reinforcement

Hey guys see the attached files. I have a pile cap. I'm designing it according to EC2. However I'm not sure about how to find the minimum reinforcement? I have a suggestion though: I would find the minimum reinforcement for the pile cap by considering it as a deep beem therefore i will use the...
