We we going to do some external pressure tests on a thermowell on the flange rating, but the inspector insists of an internal pneumatic test + soap detection.
We were going to put 30 barg nitrogen in the thermowell, as this is easily read on our installed manometers.

we buy blind flanges according to B16.5, EN1092-1, etc. We make thermowells out of these flanges, and e.g. with 2500lbs full penetrant welded flanges, we get quite some distortion in the bolt holes.

-a welder in our workshop showed me that his 2'' sch160 pipe had the markings SS347/SS347H on it.
Looking at the material certificate and the corresponding standards(ASTM A312-A376), chem composition can work for either SS347 and SS47H.
What is confusing is what the standard A312...
