Good day,
I wonder if there is a good, cheaper alternative to my reference steel/material "Inconel 625":
Requirements:
- same or better yield strenght
- comparabel or better corrosion resistance (no carbon steel)
- temperature resistant to min. 500°C/930°F. Better 600°C/1110°F
- comparable...
Hello,
i wonder why a lot of CL2500 valves have ASME B16.5 RTJ flanges to seal with RTJ gaskets according ASME B16.20.
Correct me if i am wrong but for what i have just read the R or RX type according ASME B16.20 are only applicaple up to 5.000 psi
which is below the max. CL2500 Rating of...
Hi,
i am looking for a spiral wound gasket or an alternative gasket to seal a valve body joint, pressure class 2500.
Problem with spiral wound gaskets e.g. "Flexitallic" or others are all limited to around 6000psi (420bar) which is the CL2500 operating Rating at ambient temp.
BUT you need to...
Hello,
i wonder if SA-182 F6A CLASS 1 or 2 (410SS forged equivalent) is NACE MR0103 compliant?
NACE MR0103 clause 13.4.1.2 says:
Heat-treatment procedure (three-step process) for UNS S41000, S42000, J91150 (CA15),
and J91151 (CA15M) martensitic stainless steel is as follows:
a) austenitize...
Hi,
does anybody know a self-adhesive tape for temperatures up to 400°C (752°F)?
I am not Talking About radiant heat. I am Talking About heat condution proof tape. I need one that works continuously at temperature. At least 4-5 Hours.
Hi,
ASME B31.3 Table A-2 shows nuts in stainless steel like 8MA, 8, 8A, 8CA, 8FA. They all are listed in A194 standard which is a high temperature standard. But A-2M only Shows values for min. temp. but not max temp.
Also in A-2M (metric) only 40°C (100°F) are permitted.
Why? I dont...
Hi
unfortunately i am not very familiar with US Standards.
I need a counterbore standard equivalent to DIN 974-2 for ASME B18.2.2 (heavy) hex nuts.
I can find dimensions for socket head cap screw counterbores but not for hex nuts
Any ideas?
Thank you!!!
Hello everybody,
I have to develope a ball valve for sour gas service. Bolting should be NACE MR0175 compliant.
Temperature range -50°F up to +1000°F. What stainless steel bolt/nut material is possible?
Thanks in advace!
Hi,
what kind of Belleville spring material can i use at high temperature (550°C / 1000°F) and gaseous hydrogen service.
Was thinking about Inconel 718 as it is suitable for high temperature service. But i am not sure about hydrogen embrittlement could be a problem.
Thanks!
Hello,
i need thermal expansion coefficients for SA182 F5 material.
ambient up to 1000°F (538°C).
I had a look at the ASME BPVC.II.D - 2017, Subpart 2, Physical Proerties Tables, Table TE-1 but couldtn find 5Cr 1/2 Mo (only 5 Cr 1 Mo) and I am not sure if its an Low Alloy steel of group 1...
Hello,
I need to design a valve. Seat material POM.
Operating temperature is 80°C (176°F). I need the yield strength or compression strength... at least any strengh value for calculating the surface pressure.
at elevated temperatures. I only find ambient temp. values.
Anybody knows where to...
Hello,
i want to do an thermal FEA with Ansys. Material is CF8M (1.4408). The Analysis require thermal expansion coefficient, thermal conductivity, elastic modulus and poison ratio at -196°C (77k)
Can anybody tell me where I can get these values? I asked Google but i cant find anything. ASME...
