After replacing the starter motor the car the engine won't start
I reversed the poles of the Battery by mistake for a 1 second
What could've happened in this case

What kind of cast iron is usually used for gears?.What are the advantages and disadvantages of that compared to the steel gears? Does the teeth surface need further machining or that achieved of the casting process is good enough?

Is it possible a steel to withstand 1600MPa in bending, because i'm a witness of that by applying 260Nm (90kg x 0.3m)bending moment of a shaft Ø12,
It withstood it even without crook.
According to the formula σ = (32.M)/(π.D^3) = 1532MPa
Is that true or I'm wrong in the calculation...
