Heated to 1175° C, soaked for 2 Hrs, Water Quenched. Stabilizing to 970° C, soaked for 4 Hrs, Forced air cooled.
Results are not achieved. Please provide your valuable input.
I want to produce CW6MC Castings with virgin metal and so I have been offered Niobium-Hafnium Alloy (90% Nb and 10 Hf) by the seller. To add 3.25% of Nb the metal will have Hf - 0.36% in the metal. I doubt if this level of impurity might affect the castings. I am not sure what the effect it may...
Recently I produced castings of the said grade. Melting done by Induction Furnace and Raw Material is Ingots made of INCONAL 625. All is good and castings are NSD in RT, but the films have revealed some dark lines in a particular geometry which is quite visible in all films. the client is asking...
