Estimating Bolt Torque from Snug Tight Specification

I understand that the RCS specification defines snug tight as "the condition that exists when all of the plies in a connection have been pulled into firm contact by the bolts in the joint and all of the bolts in the joint have been tightened sufficiently to prevent the removal of the nuts...

    Welding Anchor Bolt

Can A193 Grade B7 anchor bolts be welded? They are tempered, so I believe they would lose some mechanical properties. Is there any acceptable weld method that could be used? Thanks

    FEMAP plate element connectivity

Ok, does anybody have any idea why my mesh is separating? all the surfaces were joined using a non-manifold add and the meshes seem to line up, but the plates are separating during analysis. What should I check for? also, is there a command for deleting all orphaned nodes in a model in FEMAP?

    2D elements "shear force"

Is there a way to add a force along 2D plate elements in FEMAP on a single curve. I have projected a line on a surface and added a force to the curve that is in the same plane as the surface, but the model does not recognize the force and shows zero stress after running the analysis. What is the...
