When authors say "..the complete stance phase of gait was simulated using (quasi-static) soils consolidation analysis of the Abaqus software",
which kind of Step they are referring to in ABAQUS CAE? "Soils, Steady-state"? Or "Soils-Transient consolidation?"? Ore something else?

I am having a lot of troubles in converging a simulation with a lot of contacts, large deformations, permeability and soils steps. The input file is attached. If you have some suggestions, you are wellcome.
In particular I'm not confident with soil steps in this context.

I ask you help because nodes appear as unselectable in abaqus CAE screen. In practice, I mesh a part, then I can select nodes only by Set->Create, but not in Create Wire Feature for example. Why?
