Is that a rule in ASME Y14.5 2018 standard stating that the "Geometric tolerance should always be refinement of the size tolerance" which applies to all FORM, ORIENTATION , LOCATION , RUNOUT & PROFILE.
Here in the attachment, The Flatness Geometric tolerance is 0.25 which is less than size...
According to ASME standard
1. Can a PCD be used as a datum ?
2. Can we apply geometric controls to PCD of a gear tooth.
Don't get confused of what kind of gear & its application. Its a general question.
Do we need to show balloon for only one item present in BOM table in the drawing as per ASME standard ? Other items are label & they cannot be shown in drawing.
