UW-50 requires that on welded vessels to be pneumaticaly tested in accordance with UG-100 that some welds be examined for cracks.
If the vessel is to be hydrostatically tested would welds be subject to examination for cracks? Apparently not.

If you use a slip on flange on the end of a pipe, where and how would you weld the flange. I assume that fillet welds would be used, but would not know what size of weld to use. This is on a low pressure pipe.
