anyone have first hand experience in this area? specifically does chloride diffusion present an issue in ptfe vs eptfe? (thinking gaskets here) eptfe is much more porous, but in a gaske thats compressed, how much an issue is this?

i posted in M.E section but not any replies there. does anyone have experience using the task line gasket? it's a ptfe gasket with a metal ring inside and the teflon is molded around it. it gives the ptfe better creep and relaxation characteristics but makes the gasket nearly blow out proof...
a greybeard i work with is telling me to research the taskline gasket as he's never seen one fail by blowout. does anyone have any experience? we switched most of our plant over to cut eptfe sheet w/ fillers. this was before my time.
