i was wondering why alex use the same equation for UNstiffened end plate
shouldnt Ma be higher for UNstiffened...
i am designing a steel structure that will be shipped as a "whole structure" using transporter. since i cannot use uniform support in staad i used pinned supports. but it is not acting the way i wanted.

i have an oversize holes base plate..
i weld plate washer all around..
i notice in our company standard
even for 1.5" A bolt and 1.5" thick base plate..
the thickeness of plate washer is still 1/4"..
i was wondering how one design plate washer against
bending if column undertension.. and...
can someone please check if my wording is correct for slotted holes, and feel free to revise it:
