crshears,
Check valve after "plate" (multihose connection) wouldn´t make water flows, just would avoid the return to "plate".
If the water between "plate" and tank isn´t going to tank (it´s my problem) and check valve would avoid the return of this liters of water to "plate", where would water...
LittleInch,
"Is this system new?" Yes.
Your comprehension is correct, "plate" is a multihose connection that we use to send water to some different tanks just changing the hoses, connecting a hose in the specific "plate" connection.
It seems the problem is regarding the levels, our idea here now...
AWloo,
A check valve after plate could stop the returning flow, but the water would be stopped after this check valve, not going to tank... We need that all water flowed through flowmeter arrive at tank...
Hi,
Here we have a pumping system that sends a specified volume of water to a tank, it works by batch.
In discharge line we have a valve and a flowmeter, when the required volume of water is achieved at the flowmeter the valve closes and the transfer is completed.
There is a plate with a lof of...
Ripz,
What is the solution? Which material should I use?
EdStainless,
Fluid temperature is 34 Celsius degree. Is it too high considering this "corrosion condition"? And what is "CSCC"?
Tks!
Hi everybody!
Here I have a centrifugal pump bought but not manufactured yet in cast iron, and this pump shall handle water with Cl content round 500 ppm.
The client has said that we MUST change material from cast iron to SS 316.
Will I have problems with corrosion and the client is correct...
See attached XLS file with data and graphics (curves).
For information, each part has a control valve, i.e., a control valve in B-C and another control valve in B-D, if it'll be necessary change system curves to get parallel condition curve "B-C + B-D".
regards...
Hi everybody!
Here I have a pump that will operate in a parallel condition in its discharge, but I don't know how add their respective curves B-C and B-D, please see attached file. The pump will operate with flow 100 m3/h, but 25 m3/h in B-C and 75 m3/h in B-D.
Who can help me?
I've already...
I think my problem with this recirculation is because I've considered minimum tank level elevation 99.500 in the pump calculation, but the recirculation line will reach the tank at its roof elevation 113.000. Tank bottom is elevation 98.000.
The informed heads are both differential.
Pressure loss at suction considering flow 340 m3/h is only 1m, then I won't reduce enough head even considering losses in suction at minimum flow.
My client have suggested this solution with recirculation line to suction tank in discharge line (with...
Littleinch,
Considering 340 m3/h (rated flow), the head rated is 24m.
But considering recirculation to suction tank, due to high elevation of this tank, the head is 30m, it's the reason I need to increase rotor diameter.
LittleInch and micalbrch, tks for your answers.
The design pump of selected pump from pump manufacturer is 7.5 barg, then in this case it's ok no matter considered calculation. But I would like to know if the design pressure were 5,5 kgf/cm2g, for example, it'd be ok or I'd have problems.
Take...
Hi everybody
I have a pump (manufacturing yet) that in its alternative condition shall handle only 90 m3/h, but its minimum continuous stable flow is 110 m3/h.
Shall I consider a recirculation of 20 m3/h, right?
But my question is: can I consider a recirculation to suction line or must I...
Sabergg1981,
In this case I think you should increase your available NPSH, once you couldn't find suitable pumps for this application.
But why your available NPSH is so low ?? If we consider suction from an atmospheric tank, for example, you have round 10m of available NPSH.
Hi
I'm doing a calculation of a positive displacement pump and I have a question.
At suction flange the pressure is 1 kgf/cm2 g (considering all suction losses).
Considering all downstream pressures losses, the required discharge pressure is 6 kgf/cm2 g.
Should I calculate required design...
Hi everybody,
I would like to know what must be included or not in reports concerning three "maintenance issues" - oil analyzis, thermography, vibration analyzis. I don't have any maintenance experience and I haven't never seen this kind of reports, hence I don't know exactly what kind of...
Tks for all and sorry for late answer!
I have read all posts, but I don't have any news from pump manufacturer, e.g. new curves considering different speeds and a smaller impeller.
Soon I will bring information to discuss more with you.
Best ragards
Hi everybody,
Process team have informed me a rated head of 41m, then I have selected a pump.
Now I have been informed that the new head is only 15m.
The problem is that the pump has already been bought! Neither with minimum diameter impeller the pump curve crosses new system curve!
What kind...
