I heard a story from someone working on an oil rig offshore of when they were pulling Carbon Steel pipe out of the wellbore and found abrasions on it. They told me that sometimes chrome would do this. Is this true? is there any other kind of naturally-forming metals that could damage Carbon Steel?
I just started a workterm with a company for the summer and one of the tasks they have me working on is researching any and all possible programs and software for creating a 3D map of their wellbores.
They want something where they can put in their deviation data from previous drilling...
