    Mahalo Ron this is just the kind of advice we need and yes this is in regard to recoating lanai slabs at our condo complex on Kauai Hawaii. We have had coating failures as the original trowelled smooth slabs where not etched. Ever been to Kauai ? ...if not this might entice you. Link once...

    any concerns about using a 15% muriatic acid solution to etch old 5 " reinforced concrete lanai slabs with hair line cracks ? Can this concentration possibly corrode rebar even if thoroughly immediatly flushed with water after surface reaction ? thanks
