    Supercritical compressor

I want to know for these compressors how can we obtain property of fluid? What about adiabatic compression ? How can I calculate cp,cv and ... In what pressure and temperature?

    Supercritical compressor

@TD2K Dear can you explain more? I don't have any understanding about that. Does an air compressor work in supercritical region? What about a natural gas in supercritical region?

    Supercritical compressors

Hi guys. I'm not process engineer and I don't have any knowledge about reservoir. But in our last study we find that our off gases for injecting into well heads stand in supercritical regime. In other word we want to compress our off gases to inject into well heads. But as we compress the gas in...

    Requierd NPSH for Diaphragm pumps

I should mention our suction pressure is about 20 barg. @ moltenmetal Based on Exxon mobile practices our process guys consider acceleration head to be zero for diaphragm pumps.(?)consider that liquid will be at vapor pressure at liquid level. In this case in first step we don't interest to...

    Requierd NPSH for Diaphragm pumps

1m NPSH a is based on process dicipline calculations. Before challenging with them i want to know is there any diaphragm pumps with required NPSH less than 1 m? Pumping fluid is hydrocarbon condensate and these pumps are downstream of a 3 phase separator. Thanka

    Requierd NPSH for Diaphragm pumps

Hi everybody I have a little problem with required NPSH of hydraulic driven diaphragm pump. Based on pump calculations available NPSH for this type is about 1m for Q=10m3/hr & delta p=90 bar. Searching milton roy and lewa products i couldnt find suitable pump for my application. Can anyone help...

    Pump Type Selection

@vLittleInch About pump process conditions maybe your right and i didnt give you enough information. I siad before we can use these pumps in continuous service with Q=1.7 m3/hr or change the process condition to intermittent with Q=7 m3/hr. So we Face a two kind of problem and also economical...

    Pump Type Selection

I was thinking may be it"s better to use a 2 centrifugal pumps in series to overcome a high head. Do you agree with me? Or economical problems confide us?

    Pump Type Selection

@ Dubmac i want to know that is dosing(Diaphragm pump) the best choice? or Can we change our mind to Non API pumps? may be with some little works on Piston type pump's sealing we can do our best?

Which one is better? Uni-Directional DGS or Bi-Directional DGS?

Im trying to find a general criteria about this matter. But in my search i found dresser rand recommendation. By the way i appreciate your concern

Which one is better? Uni-Directional DGS or Bi-Directional DGS?

After vendor proposal how can i decide ?

    Pump Type Selection

@ Little Inch I do apologize that i had forgotten mention our pump arrangement. we considered 1+1 configuration. I didn't work with Piston type pumps but i know Piston type pumps have a packing type sealing and leakage of hydrocarbon may result in safety problems in site. so we are not...

    Pump Type Selection

@ micalbrch Delta P of 90 Bar is none of our business. Of course process conditions dictate that. but for more clarifications, pressure of a 8" pipeline is a little more than 110 barg. Yes. it's a strange case to decide.

Which one is better? Uni-Directional DGS or Bi-Directional DGS?

Hi All. i want to know when we prefer Uni-Directional dry gas seal and when we prefer Bi-Directional one? Which criteria we should consider? thanks

    Pump Type Selection

Hi Everybody. Let's start a discussion about pump type selection. It might be so easy for some of you but i want to consider all the corners and points for best selection. We want to transfer 1.8 m3/hr hydrocarbon condensate via a 3" & 500 m pipe to a 8" & 110 bar transfer pipeline continuously...

Separate purge and buffer gas in reciprocating compressors

Hi all. I want to know can we use separate purge gas and buffer gas in type in distance piece of reciprocating compressors? In the other word we want sweet fuel gas as a purge gas and nitrogen as a buffer gas. Is this choice true? I doubt. API 618 use " should " and not "shall" for preference...

Which one better? Horizontal or vertical storage of spare rotor of compressors?

Hi all I want to know about advantages and disadvantages of horizontal storage of spare rotor from point of maintenance, balancing ... Is there any preference when selecting one of these two method? Is there any criterion about size, weight,... To choose one of these 2 methods?
