Dear Kiwi,
PIPE A333-6 SEAMLESS ASME, B36.10M/B36.19M BE SCH60, 24", Service - STEAM, BFW & CONDENSATE, Class - 600, Fabrication code - B31.3.
here i am asked to check for the reduction in thickness greater tha 12.5%, I doubt in such case how can i go for in such case, if its in a small portion...
Dear Sir,
I have recevied a pipe of 24" sch 60, Thk 24.61mm, which is corroded / pitting inside the pipe whole length. I have checked with the cam guage found about 1.5 to 2.5mm, which code shall i check to find the allowance / tolerance of corrosion.
thanks and regards
Jacob
Dear Sir,
Can you help me in this matter, what should be the tolerance from the beam to the weld joint. A joint should not rest on the beam. In my case the joint weld toe and the beam end is at the same line, hardly say 1mm or .5mm.
what should be the clearance between the beam and the weld...
Dear Stan
My question was if a welder wants to stop the weld, what should be or up to minimum the welder should complete the joint, before leaving. Suppose if multi-process weld joint, a welder should do the 1. GTAW-rootpass, hotpass and SMAW-one pass. or 2.GTAW-rootpass, hotpass only.
thanks
jacob
What is the minimum pass that should be made in a groove joint before a joint is temporarily stopped eg. root and hot pass or like 30% or 40% of the pipe thickness. To avoid cracking etc....What is the right answer for this?
