I am a new vessel drafter, just wondering in what cases pad flange (located at top head) is in favor? compared to those slip-ons? I disucssed this with other guys in my department, and only quite few answers came out.

I can only google out information about cross typr vortex breaker, but our company mostly use disc type. even the head of our engineering department can not tell why. So, buddies, anyone can compare these two for us? Thanks!
