Dear Sirs
i would have an important question to do..Do centrifugal pumps with backlog impeller (see attached file) in compliance with API 610 11th ed.??
thx a lot and best regards
Dear DubMac
before answering please read carefully. if I was not able to explain properly, let me note!
i have to do a technical bid evaluation for 5 gear pumps, 5 canned and 5 reciprocating pumps.
For 5 gear: what are the parameters to consider in the process of tabulation and what I have to...
Dear Sirs,
i have to do several technical bid evaluation for gear, canned and reciprocating type pumps.
Could you give me an excel file for example of a technical bid comparison / evaluation for those pumps type?
Thanks
Dear sirs
i have to define with process section the api plans sketch...
i would have by you a confirmation referred to api plan 32.
The attached file describe api plan 32 as per api 682 and is define that "Items to the left of letter "a" shall be supplied by vendor; items to the right are the...
i wanna double pressurized system 'cause process client data sheet needs double pressurized system...
i think 53C for slurry fluid is not indicated due its attitude to diry and clog...
53 B required low pressure alarm and operators control too..this system is not very compact..imagine 53B...
Dear Sirs
I would like to know how the percentage of caustic soda influence the choice of a pump... in particular, change anything if the percentage of caustic soda dissolved in water is 15% or 25%? in my opinion, yes it does...but i would like to have your opinion.
thanks a lot
api plan 32 + 53 in the system i have described is used maybe due to slurry fluid...
in may opinion is better to use 53 A...53 C is not applicable and 53 B is for high temperature
Dear Sirs,
i have received a process data sheet for a canned motor pump..
in this document should i find the indication of containment/control system and the indication of cooling system for bearings??
i think yes, but i'm very doubtful...
thanks
Dear sirs
in a pump P&ID i have found this reads "this equipment shall be installed in a curbed area"..
could anyone explain me what is a curbed area? what protections and precautions should i take in account for the pumps?
best regards
Dear Sirs
for several gear pumps, on process data sheet is present the indication of an external downstream pressure switch...and for those pumps is not present the indication for internal relief set..
i think internal relief valve should be provided and its set pressure too, regardless...
Dear Sirs
in a P&ID for a Gear Pump, is present this note "magnetorestrictive Level Measurement"..
The instrumentation should be supplied by pump vendor or this is an instrumentation department problem??
ok thank you for the answer!!
at the same time i think that the presence of internal relief valve doesn't involve the assence of PSV on the recirculation line..
in my opinion the second one is a protection for the line, infact is set in function of the line rating.
do you agree?
Dear Sirs
i have received some process data sheet for gear pumps. i have notice that in three of ten data sheets is not expressed at what pressure is set internal relief valve...
in your opinion why is not defined set value for internal relief valve of this three pumps??
is this a value that...
