NX 8.5, Windows 7 64 bit
We are looking at hydroforming some aircraft ribs. The ribs follow the outside shape of the aircraft skin so the web does not have straight edges and the rib flange angle is variable along the length of the flange, including joggles. The question I have is regarding the...
OK I took a closer look... your line endings are encoded as a mix between \n and \r. It appears that XFLR5 only recognizes either \n or \n\r. To see them using notepad++ do View->show symbol->show end of line. The only reason my earlier changes worked is because it was re-saved with default...
OK, shift it right so no negative x values, and then normalize X and Y, and replace tabs with spaces, and it works
The tool and target do not form a complete intersection.
OK. Answering my own question:
Doing a "show all" in the show/hide menu (ctrl+w) turns on everything in the reference set. But I think the larger question still remains: Why doesn't "show" reveal everything in the part's activated reference set? Seems to me that this makes reference sets less...

Thank you cowski. I ended up doing something similar and it worked.
My process was as follows:
1. Extract replica solid-body
2. Replace & approximate the entire thing with through curve meshes
3. Sew the through curve meshes from step 2 into a solid (default tolerances)
4. Shell the resulting...

Thank you, this is a good idea. I'll work this angle and see if I can get a solution.

Thanks for the reply. I did indeed do Examine Geometry on the original faces and until everything passed it would only create a sheet body. Is it possible that the solid body created is...
Windows 7 64bit / NX7.5
Currently I've got a solid model that has been successfully sewn together from faces. My goal is to simply shell this feature. Unfortunately I can't post any images -- but imagine an eight of a basketball and you're basically there. The inside will get bored out and it...
