I also use the Abaqus student license and there is no .jnl file. So its probably because of the student license.
But if you want to work with python scripts, you can use the macro manager to get the abaqus python commands.

I have a FSI simulation where SPHs interact with lagrangian structures.
Now i want to change material properties (i.e. Youngs Modulus, Density) of the langrangian structure...
