Thanks, I forgot to state that we are using NX8. I just found that I can go into the prferences/drafting preferences/sheet and set the initial sheet number to anything. The drawing sheet numbers then renumber sequentially from there. I am trying to get away from parsing the sheet name and use...

Our group creates some very large drawings that involve multiple files to manage the size. I am trying to get the sheet numbers to start at a number other than 1 for the follow on files but have been unable to. Is there a way to change the inital drawing sheet number?
