How do you connect a roof top unit to the existing metal roof without having to add a platform on top of the roof. I know I acn reinforce th existing framing but how to detail the connection through the metal deck.
Rotation/deflection is related to rigidity. The more rigid the member is the less rotation it allows. I think a shear connection is likely to be modeled for the case of neglegeable deflections.
