Thanks for trying! :)
Maybe only using .psm for the simple part that needs to bend and then add .par files to it with an assembly to create the whole extrusion. If I get the constraints a little bit okay, than it should be possible to unbend/bend the .psm part and let all the .par added parts...
Mmmh, I was hoping that it could be possible in SE...
The thing is that I want the unbended part for production purposes. They need to see how the cut-out looks like and they also need to know the exact place of the bend...
Okay, thanks for helping!
Hi,
attached you'll find the extrusion and details of the cut out (where the bend should come). Of course, the whole part isn't uniform thickness but I've created a uniform thickness where the bend will come so technically, this should be possible... Solid Edge doesn't think this way though...
I've started with a .par file. Interesting... So maybe starting with a .psm file and switching to .par could solve the problem...
Gonna try this one and let you know! :)
Thanks!
Hi,
I've made an extrusion as a part file and added a cut-out for bending. Now I know how to switch from part to part sheet metal to reveal the bending option but that doesn't work. Is there another way to add a bend to an extrusion?
Thanks in advance!
Andy
