    Moving force, mass and oscillator

Dear Experts I'm modeling moving force, mass and oscillator on a beam and attach the CAE file for my model (a case for moving oscillation). My model is composed of a 2D wire beam and two 2D reference points. One reference point (point 1) slides on the beam surface (node to surface...

    Moving load and mass

Dear experts I'm modeling moving load and mass on a euler beam in 2D. Do I can put gravity on point mass? I have done a moving load problem but, I have no idea on moving mass. If I can apply gravity on the point, I can do that. but, it didn't work at all. Could you let me know? Thanks

modeling of a Euler Bernoulli beam with solid elements

To be honest, I don't know how can I model moving mass and oscillator on a wire beam. There is no specific reason. If you know how to model it, could you give me some ideas? I think moving load is not difficult but, how can I move mass on a wire beam? Please help...

modeling of a Euler Bernoulli beam with solid elements

Thank you for comments. This is for a research purpose. I'm modeling moving force, mass and oscillator on a beam to simulate moving cars on the bridge. I know several people already have worked on this topic but, I want to compare FEM results with theoretical equations (closed form solutions)...

modeling of a Euler Bernoulli beam with solid elements

Thanks for, sdebock. Your answer is really helpful for me. I just want to make a Euler beam model with solid elements, no more or no less. Is there way that I can put constraints or boundary conditions so that my "solid" beam model behave like Euler beam?

modeling of a Euler Bernoulli beam with solid elements

Hi Experts I'm modeling a simply-supported beam structure and computing natural frequency. I got natural frequencies of the beam similar to analytic solutions using wire-beam element. However, I don't know how I can model it with solid elements. The assumption for Euler-Bernoulli beam is the...
