Hi all,
I am having trouble assigning a soubtouthine to the surface in my model. I have a simple cube, where I would like to assign different heatflux through the subrouthine. (shown on the picture)
Can you help me select the surface and assign the heatflux to it.

Thanks again Rob,
if you look at picture at the first figure you can see that cylindrical coordinate system has already been made.
I know it is a very strait forward problem that should not take a lot of efford to come accros, but it has been bodering me for weeks now. Any more suggestions...
Thanks, Rob
This is a valuable point. Solid elements indeed do not have a rotational DOF. Your advice that proposes incorporation of an initial step could be a solution. I am though interested especially in the case where such step would not be needed,(since i will use this approach in a large...
Hi Bartosz,
thanks for your reply. If you open the .inp file you can see that the initial velocity is defined to all the nodes not only the Reference point, so the problem shouldnt probably be there. Do you have any other idea maybe?

Uros
Dear all,
I have a very simple but at the same time a very frostrating problelm
I want to freely rotate the cilinder around its axis with an initial rotational velocity, while the inner surface is constrained to the reference point in the middle, as shown on the figure below. The simulation...
Dear all,
i have a straight forward problem. I made a Submodel in abaqus of the structure so that the supporting brackets are isolated from the original assembly. The sub modeling simulation is carried out perfectly.
After that I wanted to optimize the isolated bracket, therefor I made an...
Hy!
I am trying to model the axially vibrating rod when excited at first axial natural frequency.
First of all I ran the eigenvalue simulation to obtain eigenvalues. Te results are like
I am interested in the one at 19997 HZ.
To obtain the vibration amplitude of the TIP (the other end) at...
Good day!
I am trying to model a shaft with three rigid blades attaches in the middle of the shaft like so.
As you can see I was able to model the blades as beam elements (picture is rendered, that is why beam have cross-sections). To assemble the model using "Tie" constraint and it all...
Thanks man!
For this kind of simulation, I will be using ABAQUS. Do you have any experience hoe to do that kind of simulation there? For now *STEADY STATE DYNAMICS seems to be the best card for the job!
Thanks again!
Hello!
I am planning to work on a problem dealing with non-linear vibration. All the simulations I have done in the past had to do with mechanical problems like nonlinear static analysis, or linear dynamics, like modal analysis or harmonic analysis.
The point of nonlinear vibration is that when...
