Hey guys.
I'm performing a quasi-static loading on a foam(crushable)-filled aluminium tube. I managed to simulate the aluminium successfully, but I can't seem to be able to simulate it together with the foam. The error I'm obtaining is:
***ERROR: The ratio of deformation speed to wave speed...
I also forgot to mention that I'm trying to obtain the energy of the whole model, the reaction forces on the plates, and the displacement of the plates. I hope I did this correctly using the reference points of the plates.
Hey there!
I'm a postgrad student trying to simulate a quasi-static axial crushing of an aluminium tube. I'm not too good with ABAQUS and interpreting the code is still an issue for me. I produced this input file with the CAE and I can't get it to crush the tube. I don't know why, and yes I...
Hello!
@metengr: I actually did find that in my previous searches. It simply isn't good enough because it's not detailed enough. I should have mentioned that what I really need is a data sheet with the values of a valid tensile test.
@swall: I'll look for a copy of that book thank you...
Hello!
I've been conducting some research with this aluminum alloy but everywhere I look I can't seem to find tensile test data for it. I need the full stress vs. strain chart with the plastic region clearly defined. All of these values have to the the true strain and not the engineering...
