Access the metal armature of a sensor cable for conecting to other conducor... Realistic?

Thanks a lot. I found also other solutions like the SHIELD-KON by LappKabel, and also the SKINTOP series, but they don´t adjust perfectly to the range of temperatures that I would like. The Intermark is really a simple and effective idea but in my situation as it is made of plastic does not...

Access the metal armature of a sensor cable for conecting to other conducor... Realistic?

You are right, it is not the best idea to cut the cable. What I really want is to prevent the overvoltages inducted when there is a testing lightning stroke in the system... that is the reason for trying to connect the shielding of the sensor cable to one equipotential system... Probably it is...

Access the metal armature of a sensor cable for conecting to other conducor... Realistic?

Thanks for your answers guys. Yes DRWeig, the distance to the transmitter is quite long. And there are some other cables close to the ones for the sensors, so it is neccesary to prevent the influence on the sensor signals. Probably if I need to access to the shield not only at the beginning...

Access the metal armature of a sensor cable for conecting to other conducor... Realistic?

Yes, sorry. It it´s the cable http://www.hitechcontrols.com/cables/control_cable/pur_shielded/pur_c_pur.html It is going inside a big wing of a prototype plane for sensors of temperature pt100 and thermostat... and it is close to the conductor for lightning. When the test current from...

Access the metal armature of a sensor cable for conecting to other conducor... Realistic?

Hi everybody, I have a cable for sensors in certain system. I would like to connect the metallic armour of the cable to other main conductor just for beeing sure that there will not be voltage differential in some circunstances, like lightning. Is there some easy way for doing that? Which...

    Transformer at no load

Really useful 7anoter4. I ll think about it. Thanks a lot

    Transformer at no load

Thanks a lot for your answers, they really help. But I don´t understand your explanation 7anoter4 about that Io<Iexc I mean that Io=V/(Zp+Zexc) and Iexc=(V-VZp)/Zexc and so there is no option for I0 being smaller than Iexct. -------- Other thing that I would like to comment is the...

    Transformer at no load

Here is the simulation with the magnetiztion current and phase current. Thanks everyone...http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=85d0e57d-c04e-4b8a-a080-e810eaaf08e1&file=EMT_MagnetizationReactance.jpg

    Transformer at no load

Hi everyone, I am trying to simulate the current in a transformer when it is at no load, using the software Powerfactory. I get the Magnetization current, and it is what I was expecting. But I get confused when I draw the phase current, because as the trafo is at no load... should not be the...
