Just learning constraints, seems you cannot use lines from sketches for constraint purposes, but maybe I am wrong...
In the modeled part below you can see I used 'point and direction' to make new plane and extrude the cylinder part in a weird, but specific location and angle.
If I were to...

I need to slice a wing in half. Attached is the quick wing I made using section surface to produce the leading edge with G2. The top and bottom surfaces are NOT symmetrical which makes slicing the leading edge at the point of it's tangency at the angle of attack set at 10 deg a problem...
I'm sorry, but I'm confused, much appreciated for the help.
For example:
1) Sketch two circles next to each other then close the sketcher.
2) I'd like to extrude only one of these circles into a cylinder
3) Much later in my process I want to extrude the other circle from the same sketch into a...
I'm having to learn creo as an NX user. I'd like to have a main sketch I can extrude from as needed.
Is it not possible to do this in Creo? It appears I have to extrude the entire sketch. Not a major issue as I will just have to have 10 sketches in a row instead of one main sketch.
Thanks.

I'm aware of what the var sweep does, I'm aware I could extrude or use swept or use other sweeps. I would like to ask kindly why the section profile isn't attached/following the curve.
nx 9
I'm looking to finally toy with how var sweep differs from creating multiple datums and just using swept. I really don't understand why my simple var sweep isn't following the curve?

I attached a quick example of how my variation sweep doesn't follow the curve. Any help is appreciated so I can try this function. Last time I used it I believe it worked but I cannot find my older file.
Also, can 'swept' do the same as the variation by just using multiple datum planes...
Thanks fellas. thanks for that upload tomas. SDETERS was correct in that I needed to use intersection pt b/c they are 90 deg to each other. That got the got done in my case.

Here is the picture of the moment when I cannot click the curve I need the endpoint tied down to that lies on another plane.

I uploaded another picture and prt file. I have work part drop down enabled.
When I do separate sketches on the SAME plane I can constrain an end point to the other sketches curve, but when I switch to another plane and sketch I cannot.

My assumption is you cannot tie down a sketched curve to a projected curve, but I'd like to ask if you can.
Every time I try to do this the end point will not be on the projected curve nor can I choose the projected curve on the constraint menu as seen in the attachment. I may try curve on...
I'm a little confused how to join a solid to a sheet quickly. I'm using a ton of steps sometimes to get there.
Attach is a crude example where there is a bottom solid curved piece and then there is a top that is built with sheets, it only lacks a bottom. Therefore, there is a sheet on top of...
I apologize if this is an ignorant question but could it make any sense to measure moi from somewhere other than the cg location? Can that be done?
thanks.

Let's say I model something on a plain blue background. If I take a screenshot I will get the model as well as the background.
I would like to remove the blue background and have a background that has no color(ie. a 'transparency') Not critical, but something I ran across.
See the...
Well, I ultimately like to unwrap a simple curved backdrock, for instance a curved white poster board backdrop for product photography. If I can unwrap this type of simple geometry I can then place some artwork on it so I don't have to resize the image on the geometry every stinking time and or...
My brain isn't dealing well with learning the blender interface, there is a lot going on there.
Hell...the only way I could get the part into blender was via stl and then you are clicking a bunch of triangles. I tried to unwrap a simple exported stl and immediately grabbed the scotch whisky.
