You’re part of a team. It’s you and the people on the floor or the field. Remember your designs are useless without them. But they will probably still function pretty well without you.
I understand the intent and agree the level of quality should be maintained but the certification and cut of the project AISC takes seems to be a legal issue.
Is the existing foundation block? If it is you can line up the new wall with the cells and tooth them together by knocking out some of the old foundation block. If it is concrete drill and epoxy rebar is the best.
May I ask why you are using block and not a poured wall especially a wall...
Does anyone ever look at the requirement that a steel shop be AISC certified as being a closed spec, which is illegal on public projects? I also want to point out that the fee structure for fabricators actually means that a steel fabricator owes a cut of each ton of steel they fabricate to AISC.
