We are looking for a quality sheet metal fabricator in Mexico. Does anyone have experience with a good sheet metal fabricator in Mexico that you could share?
I also agree that you would expect them to test the product at the 125%, but I have never seen it happen. As long as the fuse/breaker trips during a dead short they seem to be happy.
No thanks on the transformer test. I've had my fill with UPS, Power Factor Correction equipment, & UL 924...
mcgyvr,
You have to remember that UL comes in thinking about fire safety 1st and above all other concerns. Electrical safety, while important is a second class citizen. I've worked with UL on products under UL 1778, 60950, & 508A and it's always the same. I belive if you check the NEC...
We plot our PDF to the same size sheet as the drawing, I.E. D=D, C=C.... I have tried changing the line widths in the plot style settings but the resulting plots showed no difference. I also tried plotting only to A or B size files with no improvement.
I downloaded and switched to the CutePDF...
The answers I got from Autodesk were less than helpful. Basically they told me to download some free PDF writers because this is an issue they really don't care about because it was something they put in because of customer demand, not something they feel that was needed. So much for the...
Hi,
We just upgraded from AutoCAD 2007 to 2011 and have a problem with the output of the default DWG to PDF plotter. The PDF files it creates look horrible in the Adobe reader compared to the 2007 version. When you print it out it looks ok but visually on the screen it is almost unreadable...
I'd have to say "Ditto" to everything mcgyvr ha said. Unfortunately our sales people usually demand the we use UL. ETL is much easier to deal with and seem to be more consistant.
mcgyvr,
Unfortunately when our team" got to select an ERP system the choices had already been whittled down to 3 by management and the engineering representative recommended another of the 3 packages.
I'm glad that it works great for you. But for us it is a poor fit.
Mahlo,
As you can see...
mcgyvr,
"Add and carry" is good. Windows keyboard shortcuts work but not mouse shortcuts. When we revise a part to add a vendor and change the revision, the parts in stock are now an old revision and have to manually be updated to the current revision or else M2M will order new parts even...
We currently are using 5.6 and have been using M2M for several years. Oh it does work in windows but as I said before, uses none of it functionality. A simple cut and paste is not possible. It has been nothing but a headache since we had it.
We find it very confining. The way it attaches the...
We use Made2Manage and are extremely unhappy with it. it was obviously ported to Windows and never updated to use the functionality of Windows. We find it hard to use and easy to screw up. Our materials manager hates it and he is at the end of a very long line.

There are several Gerber to DXF translators. But if you can't find one for free I can probably do it for you.

I had the 30-day trial for Inventor 11 loaded and after the 30 days uninstalled it. Now every time I start AutoCAD 2004 I Get the following when I try to open an existing drawing or try to save a new drawing:

I am trying to find what are the standard sizes and lengths of metric self-tapping sheet metal screws. So far I have found very little. At the Rittal web site I found what they call a "BZ 5.5 x 13 Muli-tooth Screw" for 4.5mm holes.
Can anyone guide me to a decent website on this? Thanks in...

You may also have to get UL 840 "Insulation Coordination Including Clearances and Creepage Distances for Electrical Equipment". it will most likely referenced to by UL 935 and it has PCB spacings.
