    mikekilroy - that is a very good point re the voltage to the motor - maybe it isn't 230V on each phase. That had crossed my mind. It is such a big motor, it could do pretty well with 160V drive. I'll check when it is running although I doubt I'll be able to fully load it to challenge the VFD...
