OK ...STILL i m giving you the the paper what they are telling ,,... if you check it would be helpfull...
And one problem ...I have modelled a cantilever beam with shell element , beam is 2 m long , 60 mm wide and 40 mm deep... here i am getting correct result compare to my analytical...
Here is my file link( this is SAP 2000 File )... you please check it and please help me.. thank you .... http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=3c44b9e9-2598-4d0b-a18a-232effb7644a&file=DDDD.SDB
Hello every one ...sorry for interrupting you ... I am facing a problem , when I am modelling a steel cantilever beam using shell element then it gives correct natural frequency.. but when i model it using rectangular beam element then it doesnt give correct result???? Please help me out...
I have modelled a steel frame height and wide is 4 m. bases of coloumn are 400 mm , steel element , density 8036.56 kg / m3 .
and I have used shell element of 5mm thickness. but in analysis result when i am increasing the area ao meshing the areas I am getting different result and above all...
Problem : continuous frame with shell element . heigh and wide 4000 mm , bases of coloumn 400 mm . shell thickness 5 mm. original weight 180 Kgf. density 8036.56 kg / m3 . steel elemnt. E = 200 GPa.
according to a literature its 7th , 8th and 9th mode natural frequency is 4.14 Hz , 4.64...
i am getting correct result when i used shell element... but results were coming different when i used frame section rectangular of same cross section and of same material.... why is this so???????
A cantilever beam length 2m,cross section 60mmX40mm , material density 2800kg/m3. E= 78GPa. when im calculating analytically its free vibration due to its own weight , I am getting 8.52 Hz . But In SAP 2000 is giving me 594.18 Hz.... where is my mistake????????? please help me...
A cantilever beam is 2m long anad has a cross section 60mmX40mm. material property - density 2800kg/m3.E= 78GPa . i am getting its free vibration due to its own weight by analytically 8.52 Hz. But i am not getting this answers in Sap 2000. I am getting 594 hz .. please help me.
