    Hello all. I was wondering what the quickest approach would be to create curves though the center of a series of welded I-beams. I need to do this in order to create a 1D mesh on the FEM/SIM side. I basically need to create a frame of sorts out of lines/curves. Any ideas? Thanks

    For some reason, I can only view one side of a midsurface/sheet in my model. Even after doing a 2D mesh, only one side of the mesh can be viewed. Is there a setting I may have hit by accident to do this? this only happens in the fem/sim. Thanks

    Rbe2 or rbe3 for this application?

    I'd like to take into account the cg of the box. Cant do that with point loads.

    Assume you have a plate with a rigid box attached to it by 4 screws. Using the location of center of mass of the box you place a node or 0d mass there, apply a load or other applied forces (direction doesnt matter). Would you use an rbe2 or rbe3 from the cg to the bolts?

    Hello all, I received multiple .bdf files (one for constraints, one for loads, one for the model etc.) and one .blk file from a FEMAP user and am trying to get the full model to run in NX. Is this possible to do? Thanks!

    I am not so concerned with the initial aspects of the cargo as I am with the final results with the induces load cases. In the final 'position' I assume the initial tensions in the chains has little to no influence on the final results.

    Great thank you. I assume these tension/compression properties are in the materials themselves. Since the stress is also dependent on the cross-sectional area, how would this apply to a chain for a CROD element? Thanks.
