    Contact body glued partially?

Hey, I was wondering, would it be possibly to create a surface that has glued contact for only a certain set of nodes, keeping the rest of the surface "touched"?

How can I export a deformed solid?

Pretty basic question, but I think the solution might be a bit complicated. Basically I do remember that there is some way to export a deformed mesh and from that deformed mesh create a new solid, so that I end up with a .db containing the deformed geometry (ready to start using again). Could...

Complex rigid body has parts facing up and facing down, how do I flip direction individually?

Nevermind I found the solution. Transform, Surface, Translate... reverse direction.

Complex rigid body has parts facing up and facing down, how do I flip direction individually?

I've got a rigid surface composed of multiple individual surfaces. These surfaces are either "facing up" or "facing down"... how do I make them all "face the same direction"? *Flipping sides just makes all of the individual surfaces switch direction, which doesn't solve my problem.

"intersecting surfaces" keep solid from being meshed

Hey all, I'm trying to mesh a solid but I get errors saying that some of the "surfaces are intersecting". Does anyone have any experience with this, how to fix? The solid was imported and needed some fixing of the surfaces (but I did manage to construct a B-rep).

    Any literature on Patran?

Hey, I was wondering if any of you know some good courses or other literature involving Patran (online or books)? The workbooks on the MSC website are too few and I have a need for more in-depth explanation as to why and how. I do like the step-by-step approach but I also need to know what each...

Cleaning or hiding the undeformed wireframe

Happy New Year everybody! I imported a solid which has quite a lot of wireframe in the design. Plotting the results of this solid being compressed, this wireframe is quite disturbing visually. I'd like to get rid of all the excess lines in the part, so a clean as possible outline of the part or...

Can't see my rigid body moving down in the results

Yes, and it does animate. So my deformable deforms. I just don't see the rigid body pressing against it, it just hovers over it in the starting position.

Can't see my rigid body moving down in the results

So I can see the movement in preview and I get a contact stress in the results. However in the results, the rigid body (outline) doesn't move along with each frame, it just stays displayed in its original position. I guess it's a setting in results post processing but I can't figure out which...

Beginner... I put on a downward force and the results show oscillation.

Yes it was just an animation setting. Thank you.

Beginner... I put on a downward force and the results show oscillation.

Pretty much in the title. I've put a downward force on a lip and in stead of just bending down the result shows the lip also springing back to the initial nd upwards above the initial state. Probably a single setting I need to adjust but unfortunately PATRAN questions are not very google...
