I have a simple wheel to which I would like to fit 6205-2RSH bearings. The wheel hub diameter does not allow for a larger bearing OD. This bearings does not have the load capacity I need but the wheel hub is 3.5" long. My thought is to fit 4 of these bearings (2 paired on each side).
I feel I...
Understood.
Steel pins will be retained in the slots thus the need for a tightly controlled slot width. The radius portion is not very critical as it just clearance round the end of the pin.
The depth of the slot feature is also probably critical as the bottom face of the slot will clamp...
Any advise on this would be appreciated. I have a round object with a central hole. A slot is cut inwards from the outer edge. This feature is patterned around the disc (equally spaced).
The critical features are the width of the slot, the angle between slots (all instances must have identical...
Hi Guys,
I used the API help and found an example which sounds like what I am looking for.
I am now trying to customize the Macro for my application. In doing so I am getting errors which I do not know how to resolve. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Here is the macro code:

My feature tree width keeps changing. I can drag it to the width I want but it does not stick. As soon as I change another file the width changes.
Does anyone know how to correct this behaviour?
Thanks

I am very new to Solidworks Macros and haven't touched Excel macros at all. The original post referenced here touches on a few functions I would also find really useful. Can anyone help get me going in the right direction to get the functionality I am trying to obtain.

Hi There,
I have recently designed a part for our machine out of 101.6x101.6x4mm structural square tubing with 4mm thick end caps welded onto each end of the structural member. The intention was to use this square tubing as our pneumatic manifold rather than manufacturing and bolting on a...
@desertfox.
I finally managed to get some numbers down on paper. Please could you have a look at the attachment and let me know if I have understood your guidance correctly. Could you clarify the following for me please?
Firstly I need to compare the effective force per capscrew to the proof...
Thanks again for the information. I will certainly check out the links you provided CoryPad.
@ SPDL310 The "bumper" seals on each end of the cylinder are both independent of the pressure chamber seals. I am certainly more concerned about the fatigue life of the bolts but just hope I manage to...
Thank you for the information guys. @drawoh, unfortunately I am not a recent grad or qualified engineer. I have simply worked in the engineering design field for about 10 years now and have tried to learn what I could during this time.
There are other engineers in the department and the design...
Hi there,
I have been tasked with designing a pneumatic cylinder and was asked to do some calcs on what size bolts I should use to bolt the two endcaps of the cylinder to one another with the honed tube between them (Essentially I need to calculate if 4 off M10 capscrews will be good enough)...
