I understand that. It just seems weird that out of 30,847 resonator hours(analog hr meter), my beam on time is only 9,031 Hrs. Power on time is showing 17,694Hrs.
For Amada lasers, does anyone know what parameter or where to look to find the "beam on" hours? I have checked P# 6750(power on time) & 6754(cutting time) but neither one of those seem to be accurate. I know they are in minutes but I converted to hours and one machine seems like it could be...
The way you did it sounds pretty close to what I have had to do in the past. I have a little more in depth version for our FOM2 that tells you to check the motor load during your adjustments, but I guess I always got lucky and it worked. I have had to replace the worm gear assembly a couple...
Is this an APC machine or does it have dogs(limit switch) for home position? I have a procedure for our FOM2 that should be close enough if you are just needing to reset your b axis home position (assuming it is APC controlled)
It sounds like there is something shorting to the cone. I am not familiar with your machine but the trace data on my FO NT will go 32,xxx when it is on material and -32,xxx when off. Like Laserspyder said, check to make sure there are no metal hose covers or wire touching anywhere on the cone...
If you open diagnostic 906 (I think) should be "trace data". on my FO3015NT it will read -32xxx when there is nothing touching the nozzle. if you touch the nozzle with your finger it should go +32xxx. it should also bounce around if you just hover 1-2mm around the bottom if the tip. If it is...
@ jjl1210 - What is this "Bellows flush program" you mentioned? I used shop air and a blow gun to clean ours out last time we smoked a lens. I'm not sure if it was the best way but it did clear out some smoke and dust. Also has anyone ever changed the filter inside the collimator box? I have...
Have you checked the float switch in your chiller tank? or the water level? I had an instance last week where we were dropping HV and found the chiller was low on water. It was at the fine line where the float switch was making/breaking because of the water level.
I had to be that guy once...that called the Amada service center and talked to their supervisor because of some BS like that. Amada is here to give you service, whether you have a service call out or not (Or a maintenance contract for that matter). There are plenty of laser manufacturers out...
have you done a leak check? checked all of your fittings going to the machine from the bottles? Gas leaks will blow PSU's all day and yes, they get $$!
Fanuc reps have always been very helpful to me when we were having issues so I think you're in good hands. good luck
I have had the B-axis lens slide assembly lock up on me twice. it took the biggest set of channel lock pliers I could find and a bench vice to remove the worm wheel. Make sure you are greasing the little worm screw that drives the wheel.
Did you say you unhooked the motor? Is it possible...
@laserkatana
I have a part that makes almost a 180* turn (picture the outline of a U)and always leaves my operator grinding out the burrs. you can see a definite hot spot on each corner. we are cutting 1/2" mild steel with the following condition: 38IPM, 3000w, 700hz, 75%duty. GP 0.07 oxygen...
For some reason it just brings up a blank page like the last 2 I found while searching the forum. I cant figure out how to private message you my email ( sorry I don't want any more spam than I already get) what is the best way to do this?
@LaserNinja
I have to agree 100% with you that the pierce data should NOT be 0. Almost every other program has pierce data for .500CRS. I don't know why they programed it this way for high carbon. We have 2 lasers, 1 FO3015NT and 1 FOM2-3015nt. Both have been victim of this lens problem...
Usually increasing the pierce time takes care of it. So as it cuts now, there is no pierce condition. it is pretty violent and blows shit everywhere but makes a good cut.
