If I understood correctly, your code will only extract the data at those 4 nodes. But what I need is a little bit different, I need to get the data from everything that is inside the area defined by those 4 nodes.

I think I found the answer to my own question. The "Recover" option cannot be used for a co-simulation between Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/CFD. This is according to Abaqus Analysis User Guide Section 9.1.1 Continuing an analysis without changes.
