@rb1957: I managed to group the sidewall panels on the 300 and 100. I can see that in theory it is possible to exchange panels - still need to investigate what is lying between the panels and a/c structure.
@SAITAETGrad: Have you got a website - I can follow?. - thanks for the offer however...
Thanks once again for your input - very much appreciated
I am starting to believe that it might be possible (on paper) to accomplish however there might be some spaces to fill between the side wall panels as you mentioned - haven't gone into the details of the overhead bins yet :/
So far I...
It is a cabin upgrade of the 100 series using the 300 interior.
Have you, @rb1957, performed the change? - Any tips to follow?
I have cross-checked both fuselage datums & reference points outlined in the AMM - the only physical difference are the fuselage extension (for the 300), a slightly...
Out of curiosity has anyone ever thought of interchanging the interior of a DHC 8-100 with that of DHC8-300series?
Is it a straight forward conversion of interior panels/overhead bins... or does it imply structural work to be performed to accommodate the 300 in the 100 cabin.
Would highly...
Thank you all for your input.
I am still deciding whether to opt for the Flabel course to get the ball rolling. Hopefully the company can provide/identify further training courses (fingers crossed).
Thanks for writing back.
Yes I was referring to the Practical Stress Analysis by Jean Claude Flabel. Was not sure about it first however after receiving a follow-up email, it seems good to consider as a starter. From your personal experience how long does it take to cover the course on...
Hello everybody,
I wish to hear your views on aircraft structural training. I did some research and found out two possible online courses:
1. PSA1 edu
2. ASSA certificate from AMC academy.
What are your thoughts? Did anyone attempt to enrol, what are comments??
PS. If you know of other...

Yep, my intention is to find adequate training that is beneficial personally/career wise & propose it to management.
I thought maybe someone out there can narrow the options or provide advice.
Thank you both for your input, it gives another perspective for the search of training/courses.
From your experience & knowledge, can you recommend training providers in view of the original thread?

I am looking for suitable training courses designed to develop ones' career within a P21J EASA approved department.
I came across quite a good number of available courses (from Airbus, Boeing, Lufthansa), however I wish to know the opinion of others (senior design engineers, CVE's...

@wktaylor: those are some interesting links some of which already came across - cheers
I was thinking on the same grounds since they are OEM published sensitive docs, however if someone out there could share a publication it would be well the cherry on the...

Good afternoon.
Let me briefly introduce myself. I am a relatively new design engineer getting more & more interested in the aviation world.
Recently I came across this thread ref: thread2-325049 in which a few spec references related to cabin structures & interiors were...
