Stainless Steel vs Painted Steel Frame

I'm aware of the cost difference with the raw material, but does getting a large frame like that powder coated eat up most of the cost difference?

Stainless Steel vs Painted Steel Frame

I am working on a custom, one off, welded frame design for a troughed roller conveyor. This will require a ~8'x2'x3' welded box frame (2" x1/16" thk square tubing) and two u channels about 6" wide, 2" tall, 6' long (9ga) welded on. Customer does not require stainless but painted steel at...

    Linear Rubber Seal

@handleman I am interested in using a seal like this for a manual position slide table that does not require an actuator. The slide table will not be in an environment that requires high levels of sealing, I wanted to use this more for aesthetic purposes. Do you know of anything I can...

    Common Material Finishes

Hello, I'm looking for some information on different types of finishes or coatings (corrosion resistant) commonly available for aluminum 6061 I commonly use anodizing and electroless nickel. On different machines I've seen aluminum parts with a clear coating that feels smooth like an epoxy.

    Compressibility Charts

@25362 That is the same graph that i use. I understand how you could estimate the Pr easily but not the Tr because they are curves.

    Compressibility Charts

I understand how to use them but my book gives very exact answers that I feel I could only estimate. Is there a formula used when your P(reduced) and T(reduced) aren't nice numbers to work with? For example a Pr of .977 and a Tr of 1.038. My compressibility chart has a large gap between Tr of 1...
