Can you tell me which relay are you using here?
I checked up some of our old projects, and we have used 5P20 neutral CT in case of Siemens 7UT61 relay for REF protection.
I couldn't help notice that you mentioned
"inject 400v on LV side of transformer and make 3ph short circuit (to ground) on HV side,"
As far as I know, during short circuit test of transformer, LV side is shorted and Voltage is injected on HV side.
Differential protection involves 2 nos. CT for the protected section. Please check the CTs at other end (trafo phase end) and they will be of the same type, i.e. Px
In your case, the 5P10 class CT is for earth fault protection (most likely SEF)
Hi
We usually conduct the following tests:
a) IR test in both open and close condition
b) Contact resistance measurement
c) Timing test
An additional test could be DCRM (Dynamic contact resistance measurement).
Hi all
I read that generator reactors are not commonly used in a power plant because :
a) If a bus-bar or feeder fault occurs close to bus bar then voltage in bus bar will be reduced to a very low value, causing generator to fall out of step
b) And if a fault occurs on any feeder, then...
