The breakers are 480 volt substation distribution breakers. The ones I'm looking at first are GE AK breakers. I try to have them refurbished every 10 years (these are over 50 years old and have never been rebuilt) - but there is some push back due to cost. I need a reference to quote!
Can anyone tell me of a source, a standard or reference, that recommends age or frequency to rebuild power circuit breakers? I need a source to quote to justify the expense. The breakers are over 50 years old and I'd like to rebuild proactively!
