how remove "prefix" from pdf file names?

I do not have NX12 yet, but I assume there is a similar setting in Customer Defaults: File > Utilities > Customer Defaults > Plotting (under Gateway) > Job Name tab > change Entry 1 to Blank.

    Too many jobs?

Tunalover, You did in fact write in your OP that this person was "the worst boss (and one of the worst people I'd ever met)" and "the company was poorly managed in general". I don't see how IRStuff "spun that posting" with his remarks, or why you are getting so defensive in general.

Teamcenter Edit Properties Dialogue Box Dissapears

So this actually happened to me today. It's not Shift+Left as I stated above, it is actually Windows+Left.

Any way to make different views on a drawing show different reference sets?

Can you put your FLAT and 3D versions on different layers? Then it is just a matter of doing Layers Visible In View instead of all that view dependent editing.

Teamcenter Edit Properties Dialogue Box Dissapears

I've had this happen to me a handful of times. I'm not sure what causes it, but it is as if the window is popping up behind the main TC window. If I remember correctly you just press Shift+Left and it will bring the window to the front. I am also in TC 10.1, so hopefully it works for your...

Compound Profile Tolerance with Tighter Upper Control?

Can you switch your datum order? B|A in the top half and B in the bottom half

Revision of drawing document of sub-assemblies and assemblies

For our company, all our prints and models are controlled in Teamcenter. Regardless of any drafting standard, we need to revise the assembly (with a new revision letter) in order to update the BOM and pull in the latest revision of the modified component. Otherwise the production released BOM...

Do you work in an "Open Office Space"?

My resident cube farm recently downsized our cube space. We used to have 5ft walls and tabletop surface on 3 sides, with a large under-desk filing cabinet, coat closet, and set of drawers in each cube. We all had nice big whiteboards, hanging trays on the cube walls, and an extra chair for...

Link Character Size to Dwg View Scale?

Kenja, Adding the text in modeling the way you described is how I used to add the etch text. Always worked well for me in the past. There are reasons beyond my control that we will be moving away from that practice (unfortunately), so I'm just curious if there is a way to make it slightly more...

    edge/face blend woes

Could you reorder your modeling steps so that the blend is applied first, before that corner is shaped/rounded off?

Link Character Size to Dwg View Scale?

Hi all, I am trying to use a Note on a print to represent etching on the part. Because the character height matters in relation to the size of the part, and the view scale is not 1:1, I need to update the Character Size in the style of the note. Now that in itself is very simple to do, I just...

    Dimensions in Sketches

For me personally, I prefer "clean" numbers like what you describe. I would rather keep track of changes in other ways (dated prints/markups, new revisions, emails, etc) that give me a clearer image of why the dimension changed. I'm still pretty green (coming up on 3 years out of college), so...

    Y14.5 Certification Renewal

I certified for the first time back in early August when they were first implementing the new system (I'll save you all from my ranting about that headache). I have yet to get a paper certificate. Here is what I was told about that: "Unfortunately, the actual credential production ‘engine’ is...
