Total Deadhead Pressure of Pumps Operating in Series

good day thanks littleinch for the remark , actually i didnt notice above process diagram . any way yes as you said , and even for more precise calculation the filter manufacturer should give approximate value for the filter discharge factor or the filter minimum head loss , and subtract it...

    Pump Piping Straight Run Origin

good day since you mentioned that you are not young engineer you should know what are the technical issues in case we have inappropriate piping configuration. from commercial point view you cant sell or certify any pump or piping configuration unless it complies with the stated standards...

Total Deadhead Pressure of Pumps Operating in Series

good day as for the calculation : 1/ pumps pressure shall be found in performance curve at zero flow. 2/ tank pressure shall be calculated by density*head*9.81 , lines sizes can be neglected.( note that suction nozzle is almost 1 meter from the ground if you need very conservative calculation...

Total Deadhead Pressure of Pumps Operating in Series

good day dear the pressure will be =pump1 + pump2 + downstream ( it could be a tank head ) , and the reason is becuase because in this case you are dealing with closed system , which every thing will add up . to proove this theory check the downstream PSV set preasure and you will find out that...

How to calculate check valve test pressure, 1) Metal seat & non metal seat 2) High pressure &amp

good day dear i dont know what version of API598 you were refering to but valves shell tests and other pressure test are clearly stated in section 3.7 table 2/3 , page 4 regards

Seat calculations for floater ball valve

good day dear i have seen some ball valve catalogs and they alway mention that they design them accordance to API6D and ANSI 16.34 ( mainly for flanges) . regards

How do you think the bi-directional sealing for the triple offset butterfly valve?

the reasons why i cant see the reason of bi- directional flow : 1- it is not a good practice to have the flow being resisted against the valve stem . 2- these valves are only used for on-off systems or flow reatriction , and bi directional flow system won't be applied through using these valves.

How do you think the bi-directional sealing for the triple offset butterfly valve?

good day dear in many designs of the triple offset valves i have seen bi directional seals are used but regarding the reason i cant see that it is due to bi- dirrectional flow . due to that the seat arrangement won't be symmetric to allow the offset seating snd movement of the valve disc ,so i...

    Minimum SW gap

good day dear it is unfortunate that ASME didnt not give tolorance for the expansion gap . mainly expansion gap is needed due to resuidual stresses accurs due to contraction of the weld, and to allow some thermal growth through the welded pipe . the disadvantage in my opinion is that you will...
