Hi gentlemen; the end wall posts are connected to the bottom flange of the the end wall roof beam.so when the wind force applied to the end wall posts an transferred to the roof beam what prevent the endwall roof beam from turning or twisting.(because purins are at the top flange)

I have a fixed column base of straight built up steel column. i want to know if I provided a non shrinkable grout under the base plate will this help in reducing the base plate thickness in the compression side of the plate or even general reduction.
