    ASME/RCCM Comparison 304 St.St

Thanks for your reply. I am looking for the allowable stress in RCC-M. The temperature is 300 deg, in ASME it states 116MPA. However, in RCC-M the AFNOR GRADE is Z6CN18.09 which I cannot find in Table Z. It is the straight grade for 304 - I have the equivalent for 304L although I would rather...

    ASME/RCCM Comparison 304 St.St

Hi, I am trying to determine the allowable basic stress intensity (Sm) for stainless steel type 304. I have found the equivalent grade from ASME to RCCM which is Z6CN18.09, however, it is not referenced in the Z-Technical Appendices. Has anyone else came across this problem? Thanks

NX10.0 Motion Simulation Curve on Curve Constraints

Hi Samu, Thanks for your time, I think I have found a solution! I believe the profile of the curve intersection with the straight line was too severe, this may have resulted in the simulation not being able to run. I have changed the profile and used a point on surface and it seems to run ok...

NX10.0 Motion Simulation Curve on Curve Constraints

yes that would not be a problem. What would be the easiest way to do this - through grabcad?

NX10.0 Motion Simulation Curve on Curve Constraints

I believe my problem may have been slightly different to yours. I can get the curve on curve constraints for both the valve to rocker arm connection and rocker arm to cam. It is when I try to add a second rocker arm to the cam that the solver locks up - did you have any problems when placing a...

NX10.0 Motion Simulation Curve on Curve Constraints

Hi SS88, Thanks for your reply! I will look into this and let you know - many thanks for your guidance.

    RecurDyn Slover Lockup - Causes

Hi, I have an assembly which I have placed a curve on curve constraint to one of the component parts. this solves fine and I can run the animation. However, once I place a second curve on curve constraint to a second part it will not solve and a 'RecurDyn Solver Lockup' appears. what would be...

NX10.0 Motion Simulation Curve on Curve Constraints

Hi all, I am currently designing an over head camshaft with the relevant rocker arms. I have used curve on curve constraint within motion simulation to follow the profile of the camshaft once an acceleration has been applied - this works correct in animation. however, once I try to apply two...
