Hello, metengr. thanks for your reply.
correct, the material delivery condition is N+T.
in case Rm is higher than ASME code(450~585 MPa), i.e. Rm is 620MPa, acc. to your experience, can we accept on deviation? what's the impact on equipment manufacture, welding and operation?
thanks!
Dear All,
I have one question need your support:
for material SA387 Gr12 CL12, Tensile strength specified in ASME II-A is 450~585 MPa.
in case actual tensile strength is 620MPa, others properties incl. Yield strength, impact test value, hardness can meet standard requirement, the material can...
pneumatic test not allowed based on currently status. the reason is:
1. firstly, test pressure is not different.
acc. to ASME VIII-1, hydrostatic test pressure is 1.3 times LSR, but pneumatic test pressure is 1.1 times LSR.
so if you do pneumatic test with hydrostatic test pressure, which...
my experience: depands on the force on the clip.
if the force is small, and clip material is same with cladding, I think it's OK to weld to EB directly.
otherwise, if the force is big, we need to move the cladding, the clip shall be welded to CS with acceptable filler metal. another option is to...
