In your answer,
Those points that contact the surface plate instantly form the "datum" -- a perfect plane (thus a minimum of 3 points must contact the plate) which serves as a reference for measurement.
If the contact part feature (Perfect plane as per your...
Hi All,
Form tolerances does not require Datum refrences. but i have a doubt in this as follows.
When we measure the Form tolerance (either Flatness, Straightness etc.) obviously some part feature must be in contact with the Surface table or plate. In this case if the mating part feature with...
Hi All,
I understand the GD & T rule 1 & it says
Perfect form at MMC, if it is so
then Why not perfect form at LMC also
for ex. for the shaft dia. of 20 +/- 0.1, the LMC is 19.9 mm
If all the element are at LMC of 19.9 mm, then it is also a perfect form ? Is it not ?
Please any one clarify...
Hi Metenger,
Thanks for your reply...
Since the Ferrite content value is more than 70 % and I would like to know the consequences on the product of the same.
Is there any destructive or non destructive test know about the consequences on the product ? especially about corrosion resistance and...
My understanding about Duplex S.S is mostly used in pressure vessels. Ferrite content testing is important quality test for its welding because mostly it has to perform in corrosive environment with high thermal stresses.
But,we are using Duplex SS (EN std. 1.4462)in rolling stock underframe...
