I am trying to assign wind in ETABS via Cp (automated) in a 23-degree gable roof, but the results are very strange, giving zero.
I am assuming now that ETABS only generates automated wind loads in a vertical plane (normal to Z)
Does anyone have the same issue when trying to design...
Usually, the panels are independent of the racking. Solar panels companies don't like to install panels, just sell them. There is no magic formula that will work everywhere. Site location can make huge differences, is the area windy? What's the height of the building, you don't want a panel...
I will probably reduce my slope to 10 degrees, the above was 30 degrees.
I just did a simulation with regard to the solar panels efficiency, and at 10 degrees it reaches 90% of the maximum solar efficiency in my location (around 34 degrees in slope to have maximum kWh from solar)
