I'm trying to find a way to be able to save parts in an assembly with different colors depending on my application.
I've tried using the Edit Object Display, but once I colour a part and try to define a different colour in a different arrangement or layer, it propagates to all...

Do you mean, something like this?
Or should the constraint point to the surface of the geometry, instead of the dotted line? or does it matter at all?
