Further to this... my model is actually cyclic symmetric, I model 1/5th the cylinder. (I simplified it to axisymmetric)
I apply the total pressure to the inner surface of the 1/5 model.
Question 1) is this still correct to apply total pressure for a cyclic symmetric model?
Question 2) I...
Hi,
My model has exceeded the strain range of my input data. What way does Abaqus deal with this?
Does it assume a flat line stress strain response once the input data is exceeded?
or
Does it extrapolate further stress strain data based on the slope of the input data it has
or
?
Thanks
Hi,
I am modelling an axisymmetric cylinder. (I am modelling 1/2 the cylinder)
Should I apply the total pressure load that the piper experiences in real life or divide it by two?
Any help would be appreciated.
I am modelling a reinforced tube. i.e. a cylindrical inner tube part with a second fibre layer part. They have a frictional interaction between them. I also want to add a thin encapsulation layer over both of them without it being present in the interaction zone.
How can I add a skin property...
I'm trying to apply a periodic pressure load. I have created a simple amplitude which I can confirm is as I would expect it to be using the amplitude plotter. However, when I use the above method to verify the profile of the pressure load, I always get a linear ramp pressure profile?? Why is this?
HI,
I curious about verifying that the pressure I have applied to a cavity or a hyperelastic material barrel is as prescribed during my step in Abaqus(simple ramp amplitude in explicit) (at time 0 Amp is 0, at time 1 amp is 1 = 0.017 MPa).
I have not defined any custom field/history output...
